### When Thinking Replaces Feeling

Please join us tonight.
Last week we explored rupture β those moments when connection drops.
A tone shift. A shutdown. A sharp correction. A missed cue. β‘
Tonight we go deeper into one of the most essential relational capacities: Repair Capacity.
Connection does not fail because rupture happens.
Connection fails when repair does not.
We will examine:
β’ What rupture actually is (including micro-ruptures)
β’ Why accidental harm is often a regulation issue π§
β’ The gap between intent and impact
β’ Alexithymia β difficulty identifying and naming emotion π«
β’ How overthinking can replace emotional awareness
β’ The attributes that make repair real and stabilizing π€
Non-Harming (Ahimsa) is not moral perfection.
It is nervous-system awareness in real time.
If we cannot clearly feel what is happening in the body, those unrecognized states often emerge indirectly β through tone, urgency, rigidity, shutdown, or defensiveness.
Learning to discern emotion is not softness.
It is precision.
### Core Discussion Prompt
π If the contents of your mind determine the quality of your lifeβ¦
what mental patterns show up during rupture β rumination, certainty, threat narratives, self-protection β and what emotion might be underneath them?
Structured. Reflective. Skill-based.
We begin at 6:00 PM EST.
