# Sensing Before Naming
### Somatic Tools for Alexithymia
What if the challenge isn’t that you “don’t have feelings”…
but that you were never taught how to sense them? 🌿
Alexithymia is often described as difficulty identifying or describing emotions.
But beneath that label is something deeply human:
A nervous system that learned to move forward without pausing long enough to feel.
In this gathering, we explore:
• The difference between sensation and story
• Why thinking harder doesn’t unlock emotion
• How the body signals before the mind can name
• How relational safety expands emotional access ✨
• Simple somatic practices that build emotional granularity
This is not about forcing feelings.
It is about learning to notice. 🔥
Through guided exercises and discussion, we’ll practice:
• Tracking internal sensations
• Pausing before labeling
• Expanding interoceptive awareness
• Staying with subtle signals
• Translating body cues into emotional language
If the contents of your mind shape the quality of your life…
what happens when you begin sensing before naming? 💜
