When we are stressed or anxious, we want to come home to a place of peace, rest, comfort, unconditional acceptance & love. Such a place is not external, or bound by geography or relationships. Your true home is within you! We carry our real home - the feeling of being anchored, safe, & loved - within our own minds & bodies. While those feelings can be hijacked if we let them, that sense of safety & calm is always available once we learn how to nurture it.

“But wait,” you might say, “I don’t feel those things inside.” Our past trauma, anxieties & learned characteristics can make everything feel scary. Our feelings can make us want to run away from ourselves. We develop anxiety. But I assure you, your real home - the place where you can always find love, learn to trust yourself, & where you find self-acceptance & genuine expression - is always with you.

At this event we’ll discuss how to overcome negativity with various techniques:

● Emotional Freedom Technique, or “tapping,” calms down the nervous system & helps us sort things out by reintegrating & reorganizing our thought patterns & memories.
● Breathwork of various kinds tames our racing thoughts, brings relief & helps our over-anxious brains relax.
● Recognizing sensations in our bodies helps us find relief sooner & keep our level of overwhelm down.
● Connecting our bodies to our brains through movement & touch interrupts negative reactions happening within, freeing us to stay present in any moment.
