a vibrant community for a special cultural day trip to Basel’s Fasnacht, officially recognized as UNESCO Cultural Heritage.
The Basler Fasnacht is a deeply rooted tradition combining music, satire, art, and creativity. On Monday afternoon we will experience the highlight of the celebration: the Cortège, the grand parade where more than 10,000 masked participants, musicians, lanterns, and artistic floats move through Basel’s old town.
After the parade, we will walk to Münsterplatz to admire the famous illuminated lantern exhibition.
