Flamenco Rumba Social

Want to get a bunch of people together to jam on some gipsy kings style flamenco rumba!
The social will happen right after a performance by Esther Marion and La Ishi, and afterwards they’ll be joining us!
No experience with Rumba/Flamenco is needed: The goal is to introduce new people to the music form! If there is enough interest, I may also host a pre-social rumba lesson though, date TBD😁
Musicians needed:
- Guitarists (Ideally you own a nylon string guitar. If you’re interested but don’t have one, let me know)
- Percussionists (there will be Cajons)
- Bassists
- Singers (We have singers coming who have sang rumba before, but let me know if you’re interested in singing one and I can get a good list of rumbas to learn)
Dancers are of course also welcome 🙏
If you want to come but don’t play any of these instruments, have no fear! An essential part of Flamenco is palmas (clapping), which we can teach before the jam. You’re also welcome to come just to enjoy the vibe.
