Tomyhoi Peak Overnight

Mid week allows us to trek up the wildly popular Yellow Aster Butte trail and find camping at the scattered lake/tarns.
An alpine hike up a broad ridge to the summit plateau with huge views the entire route. The destination is the broad summit plateau looking down the glacier to Chilliwack far below. The final rock nubbin holds no attraction so we will not attempt the final 150 feet. The hike up the ridge maps at 2 miles and 2000' feet climb, but I would have guessed it as more from hiking it. The trail and route are wide open and easy but deserve slow going.
Everyone brings food and gear as if they were camping alone unless arranged otherwise.
