A close in foothills exploration, mostly forested, some clearcut areas providing views of the Nooksack Valley and Mt Baker. 6 miles hiking, 2100' elevation gain and loss. Entire route is on a system of closed logging roads which are in good shape and grade providing straightforward walking. The top 2 miles are on a loop, then returning 2 miles down the way we came up.
