Monthly meetup

Details
This month's meeting is part of the ACX Meetups Everywhere!
This is a monthly recurring event for general hanging out and rationalish discussion.
Last time, we had some general rationalist discussion as well as some informed by a couple of short readings—one rationalist, and one meta-rationalist. It was fun, so let's try that again. The readings are optional!
This month's rationalist pick: The time-reversal heuristic (2016) by Andrew Gelman, which describes a tool useful in thinking about the replication crisis in the sciences
This month's rational-ish pick: A big little idea called legibility (2010) by Venkatesh Rao, which gives a brief introduction to one of the key ideas in James C. Scott's Seeing Like a State
(If you want to nominate a reading for a future meeting, please do so.)
