START LOCATION CHANGE
We have moved the start to Clear Lake Day Use area. Meet at the small general store near the lake where the docks and picnic tables are. We will drive our truck or van, both with Dirty Freehub decals.

Make sure you download version 0.2 of the route!

Leaf peeping is a sport done best from a bike. And we have the perfect Dirty Freehub route in mind, a route we created just for this adventure. Now let's hope the wind blows in the right direction. We call this route Tombstone Pass as it starts summits and descends Tombstone Pass. The route gets super exceptional after the Pass as you ride the Old Santiam Wagon road, wind through old growth forest and naviagate around two lakes. Due to the sections on single track, this ride is not a fast go. Here are the details :

https://dirtyfreehub.org/routes/oregon/tombstone-pass/

Please make sure you use the Lat/long numbers on the Ride Guide to find the start as there’s little connectivity in the area and we've had all sorts of issues with people not getting to the start when using Meetup.

Note that we will be regrouping at several locations, so if you want to race off the front and keep on trucking you should find a different event. This is not meant to be a race but a social outing. After all, it’s nice to chat and get to know other people. eBikes are not welcome because we have some single track that doesn’t allow them.

You should have the route downloaded and are able to use your device or phone. I plan on riding about 8-9 mph. I will pull out of the start, exactly on the posted start time.

If the weather takes a dive or the smoke levels suck, you can assume we are canceling but we will also post on the event.

Sorry to say, but this is NOT a no drop ride. (Gosh, there are a lot of NOs in that last sentence.) but we WILL regroup a few times.
Text or call Linda at 541 550 8930 with any questions.
