Gravel Ride, Camp Sherman, 27 miles, 1,100 feet of gain

Details
While the leaves are flying off the trees, we are now rapidly moving into larch season, the time of year when the deciduous conifers turn a bright yellow. At Dirty Freehub, we designed the new Larch Time route with the purpose of connecting to this magical moment. It’s a twisty route with a few different punch out points, perfect for this time of year when the weather can be more dicey.
Start location: Please make sure you use the Lat/long numbers on the Ride Guide to find the start. We start at the Black Butte Lower Trailhead parking area, it is really close to the Head of the Metolius parking area, near Camp Sherman. (NF-14 and NF 1430). DO NOT go to the Camp Sherman store. If in doubt, use the information in the ride guide below. Click on directions at the top of the ride guide page. (And while the Ride Guide is under development, hint, hint, donations can help that along, the route itself is a solid 5 stars.)

Note that we will be regrouping at several locations, so if you want to race off the front and keep on trucking you should find a different event. This is not meant to be a race but a social outing. After all, it’s nice to chat and get to know other people. We will also split the group down into smaller groups because of the single track.
You should have the route downloaded and are able to use your device or phone. I plan on riding about 8-10 mph. I will pull out of the start, exactly on the posted start time.
If the weather takes a dive, you can assume we are canceling but we will also post on the event. Sorry to say, but this is NOT a no drop ride. (Gosh, there are a lot of NOs in that last sentence.) but we WILL regroup a few times.
