Gravel Ride, Maupin, 20-50 miles

Details
Looky, Looky, The weather is perking up. Enough to go ride in “hoppin Maupin” as they say. A simple out and back because we know this time of year you aren’t sure just how far you want to go.
The length will depend on where you turn around. The full route is 52 miles and 1,200 feet of gain. 67% gravel. (Yes, it's a flat one.). The first part of the route is paved so if you are easing yourself back into gravel, this should be the perfect route.
Note: We are starting at Imperial Rafting company next to the City Park. You will find the route in the Notes & Options tab on the Ride Guide. So to download the route, you will want the the Macks Canyon (City Park Start) V.1.0 Route.
What’s so cool about Maupin this time of year? Maupin sits at 1,200 feet which gives it a huge spring time advantage of missing snow. It’s an area famous for rafting in the summer, but now famous for early and late season cycling. Drive time from Bend is 1:40 minutes.
If the weather takes a dive, you can assume we are canceling but we will also post on the event.
Sorry to say, but this is an unsupported ride. This means you need to come prepared. We WILL regroup a few times and encourage people to ride with partners. Our roll out time is the START time. So that means you should be ready to roll! eBikes are welcome.
If you are looking for a carpool buddy, please put a note in the comments section. Just add in if you are looking to ride with someone else or you are willing to drive. If you are riding with someone else, we hope you bring a little cash to help pay for the gas.
