Group Gravel Ride: Bend 29 miles and 1,800 feet of gain

Details
Sand season is coming so let’s try and sneak in the Oktoberfest gravel route before it gets tooooo dusty. Plenty of ways to reroute, punch out should you decide it was all a bad idea. But you won’t know unless you go … the route?
We climb out on gravelly back roads to Tumalo Falls. Then your choice on if you want to take the single track back or rewind on gravel. After that, if you have had enough, you can buzz in on Skyliner paved road or you dirt seeking cyclists will continue on for more gravel/dirt adventures. You'll find the map on the Dirty Freehub Ride Guide:
https://dirtyfreehub.org/routes/oregon/oktoberfest/
This is not meant to be a race but a social outing. After all, it’s nice to chat and get to know other people. The goal is to have fun, meet other people, and sneak in a ride.
You MUST have the route downloaded and are able to use your device or phone. I plan on riding about 10-12 mph. I will pull out of the start, exactly on the posted start time.
If the weather takes a dive, you can assume we are canceling but we will also post a message on the Meetup page.
Sorry to say, but this is NOT a no drop ride. (Gosh, there are a lot of NOs in that last sentence.) I am sure the speedy group will take off and form a faster group and I will be steady Eddy on the back. Which just means that you if you get dropped, you need to be ok with that ....
This ride is also unsupported.
