Group Gravel Ride: Bend, 27 miles and 1,600 feet of gain

Call it backwards day. Let’s ride Oktoberfest, but do the route backwards. So starting at Phil’s Trailhead and then meandering out to the climb. Then up, up and up some more out to the end of Skyliners and off to Tumalo Falls on the single track. We will visit the falls and then blast back down on Skyliner road. (Skipping the Jack Pine Road descent.)

Please load up the route on your bike computer or phone and look up how to ride it backwards. (You Garmin users always struggle through this process. Wahoo is a smidge easier on this.)

Our ride is not meant to be a race but a social outing. After all, it’s nice to chat and get to know other people. The goal is to have fun, meet other people, and sneak in a ride. We will regroup at major intersections.

You MUST have the route downloaded and are able to use your device or phone. I plan on riding about 10 mph. We will pull out of the start, exactly on the posted start time.

If the weather takes a dive, you can assume we are canceling but we will also post a message on the Meetup page.
Sorry to say, but this is NOT a no drop ride. (Gosh, there are a lot of NOs in that last sentence.) but we WILL regroup a few times. This ride is also unsupported.
