Gravel Ride: ~Sisters, 43 miles with 3,500 feet of climbing

Details
With all of the tourists covered in oil … and the hot temps, it’s time for us to go hide out deep in the woods. DIrty Freehub’s “Into the Horn” route is a remote ride that starts 25 min past Sisters, in the middle of a whole lot of nothing.
We will roll out at 8 am … hoping to skip the heat of the day. If we get more than 10 cyclists, we can split the group and let the speedsters take off. If not, you will need to wait for the “back of the packers” including yours truly. Either way, this is a REMOTE area to ride which means you need to be top of your game. If you are questioning your skills either as a rider or a navigator, this ride is not a good choice for you. Do us all a favor and join us another time.
Now about the start. Absolutely DO NOT use the MEETUP site to find the start. Use the Lat/Long on the Dirty Freehub Ride Guide to find us … realize there is no cell service so if you are running late or can’t find the start, you are just out of luck. (Look up the start before you start driving because this is a tricky start! This is the corner of NF 11 and NF 1150. This is 25 minutes oustside of Sisters or 55 minutes from Bend.).

Our ride is not meant to be a race but a social outing. After all, it’s nice to chat and get to know other people. The goal is to have fun, meet other people, and sneak in a ride. We will regroup at major intersections.
You MUST have the route downloaded and are able to use your device or phone. I plan on riding about 10 mph. We will pull out of the start, exactly on the posted start time.
If the weather takes a dive or you see smoke on the horizon, you can assume we are canceling but we will also post a message on the Meetup page.
Sorry to say, but this is NOT a no drop ride. (Gosh, there are a lot of NOs in that last sentence.) but we WILL regroup a few times. This ride is also unsupported.
