Cancelled due to fire: Gravel Bike Ride, Prineville, 38 miles and 3,700 feet

An oldie, goldie. Join Team Dirty Freehub for a tour of the Ochoco National Forest, with lovely creaks, big ponderosas, and “proper” gravel roads on the McKay Creek Lollipop route. This will give you plenty of time to debate if you pronounce it Mc-K or Mc-Kie.

Ebikes are welcome. Please use the Ride Guide on Dirty Freehub to find the start! This route is outside of Prineville so plan accordingly. We will roll out at 8:30 am …

Note: you can cut the route short by heading back to the barn at mile 20 which will turn this into 33 miles and 2,800 feet of gain.

Our ride is not meant to be a race but a social outing. After all, it’s nice to chat and get to know other people. The goal is to have fun, meet other people, and sneak in a ride. We will regroup at major intersections.

You MUST have the route downloaded and are able to use your device or phone. I plan on riding about 10 mph. We will pull out of the start, exactly on the posted start time.

If the weather takes a dive, you can assume we are canceling but we will also post a message on the Meetup page.

Sorry to say, but this is NOT a no drop ride. (Gosh, there are a lot of NOs in that last sentence.) but we WILL regroup a few times. This ride is also unsupported.
