Details

This will be an intermediate ride at an intermediate pace with regroups at junctions. Although no one will be left behind, please know that this is by no means a beginner’s ride. If you’re on the fence about whether to go or not, just GO! Your chances of having more endurance and being more skilled than this old timer are pretty good. This is considered to be a social ride to meet new faces and say hello to familiar ones.

***

### What to Expect:

  • High probability of encounters with other cyclists. Let’s do our part in honoring the rules of the trail.
  • 15 miles
  • 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group
  • 1,181 ft total ascent
  • Total average moving speed: around 10 mph (best-case scenario). This will be affected by the size of the group and the length of regroups.

  • T4 (Advanced Intermediate): Long segments with rocky and uneven surfaces

### Route Overview:

To keep it simple, we’ll start at Phil’s Trailhead, hop on Marvin’s Garden, and take a right on KGB (JCT 48) until we reach Kent’s (JCT 14). From there, we’ll head up Kent’s and jump on Voodoo Child (JCT 19). Once we come to Ticket to Ride, we’ll take a left (don’t go straight or bye-bye!) to the E.L.V/Marvin’s Garden/COD junction, then take Marvin’s Garden back to Phil’s Trailhead.
For those who might not be familiar with this odd junction, don’t worry! I/we will make sure you’re with the group. No one gets left behind on Sundays.

**** NOTE: If you sign up for this ride be sure to check for updates before the ride. Where we meet up and the trails we ride may change over the next few days. On occasion rides will be canceled due to something. *****
