Gravel Ride, Sisters, 32 miles with 2,800 feet of gain
Details
Bring your adventure spirit as we test out a new gravel route. If you love to climb gravel and then descend on pavement, this ride is for you. Big views like the Pawn route, but we will buzzzzzz back down to SIsters on a paved road. The new route name? Espresso ... Now, to lay all the cards on the table, I haven't ridden this route before. But I think we should be fine ...
The Route:
The route is 32 miles and 2,800 feet of gain. Please have the route downloaded to a bike computer or phone and be able to navigate from it. Go to the Pawn and download the route listed under the NOTES and OPTIONS tab. You will see it listed as The Pawn (Espresso Option.).
I typically average out 10 mph ...We will ride out a few miles and then see how the group should split up. Which just all means, you should be good with riding on your own if want to go faster or slower than the group. So it's an unsupported group ride.
Also, the ride will be cancelled if the weather is bad! (No, we don't do organized rides in the rain!)

Why do we charge for rides?
Running community rides takes resources:
- MeetUp platform: nearly $550 per year
- Liability insurance: ensuring we can host rides responsibly
- Event organization: planning, route design, and coordination
Altogether, hosting community rides costs $2,000–$3,000 each year. Right now, those expenses are carried by our generous donors. To keep things fair, we ask all riders to contribute—either through an annual donation or a per-event fee.
When you donate, you’re not just paying expenses—you’re fueling a movement. You’re helping Dirty Freehub build community, create unforgettable experiences, and highlight the beauty of gravel cycling.
We’d love for you to join the Dirty Freehub team—because together, we make these rides possible.
