Did you read this in high school too? Nothing stays the same so this is not the same novel. Coming of age, trying to just survive, immigrants in 19th century Nebraska, lyrical prose--they're all still there. But we aren't the same as we were decades ago. So here's an opportunity to see what we couldn't back then.
