Intro to Web Accessibility and Compliance

Web accessibility is making sure that your website and all its functions are usable by people with disabilities (like users who are blind or have mobility impairments) who may need to use some alternative means of accessing the site. Increasingly, laws like ADA, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and the European Accessibility Act require websites to be accessible.

This presentation will outline the basics of web accessibility, describe a variety of resources (including tax credits for US businesses) for helping make sites accessible and learning more, and give a brief overview of compliance requirements.
