11/1 Looks like we are going to have a great turnout for Clear Lake tomorrow and it's going to be spectacular!! Update RSVP TODAY if possible, if you can't go. It would really help if there are no NO SHOWS, if possible. If you change your RSVP the morning of the hike, make a note in the "comments".

Carpools other than me & Mercedes? NO CELL SERVICE at the lake. Print info in advance.

Arrive at least 10-15 mins early to allow for parking & introductions. If anybody is late and we have already started the hike, catch up to us. This is a loop. We're starting at the trail head past the cabins, not the trail head at the parking area.

Again, There is NO Cell Service at the resort. If you need to reach me before you get to the resort, my cell is 541-350-3426. **

10/31 Weather forecast is 61°and mostly sunny😎* 11/1 It will be raining at the lake. Hopefully that will not create too many wet or muddy sections for our hike. I wanted to mention this so you’re aware of the possibly slick or muddy trail conditions.

**About the hike: **

4.8mi Length
239ft Elevation gain
Hiking boots or similar traction required.
Approximate hike time: 2-2.5 hours. We don’t want to rush while enjoying the beauty!
Difficulty: “The trail is considered easy due to its primarily flat and wide tread, but it can be rugged and rocky in certain sections.” Poles highly recommended

“Clear Lake in Oregon's Central Cascades is a great place to see fall foliage. The lake is surrounded by thousands of vine maples that turn brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow in the fall. The colors contrast beautifully with the evergreen trees and the lake's clear water.”
