🥾 Let's head out to The Maston Trail System to hike the peaceful, unique, and beautiful Juniper Trail located between Tumalo and Eagle Crest Resort (Redmond). It's been very popular when I've previously scheduled it! This hike should be very convenient for folks coming from Redmond, Bend, Tumalo, Terrebonne, Sisters, or Powell Butte.

This trail is an easy out and back with no elevation. The area features desert terrain with juniper forests, basalt outcrops, and views of the Deschutes River Canyon.

Forecast: 42 degrees and partial sun.
Poles optional
Bring water
No dogs
No toilet facilities
Trail or hiking shoes are recommended. Tennis shoes not so much.

## Directions

There are two trailheads that access the Maston Trail Use Area. The smaller Juniper Trailhead, where we will park, is located along Cline Falls Highway at the North end of the Maston area. So don’t turn when you see a sign for Maston Trail System while driving on Cline Falls Highway. That road leads to the main parking lot.
