Meet at 🏕️ Camp Sherman General Store.🏕️ Not the fish hatchery. Directions from Sisters to the general store.

Look for my blue VW Van.
We will drive 5 miles from the store to the fish hatchery. Arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. at the general store. We will leave the general store parking lot at 9:45 a.m. to drive to the fish factory.
There’s NO CELL SERVICE AT THE GENERAL STORE OR THE FISH HATCHERY so being on time is a must!!! If anyone needs to reach me before turning into Camp Sherman, my cell is 541-350-3426. The forecast calls for temperatures in the low to mid 60s during our time on the trail. There is a 5 to 10% chance of light rain.
Get ready for an another beautiful 5 mile RT moderate pace/moderate difficulty hike along the West Metolius River Trail! This one’s a real gem! Every year, I try to time it as close to the peak of the wildflowers along the trail, so it should be gorgeous!
We will begin our out and back hike at the Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery. Our turnaround point is Canyon Creek Campground. There are restrooms at each end of the trail.
Bring plenty of water and a snack. We will break for about 10 minutes at our turn around point to chat, hydrate, and have a snack. There are tons of rocks and tripping hazards FYI. Poles highly recommended.
