What we’re about
Bendtroverts – Authentic Introverts of Bend
Low-key, fragrance-free, competition-free social space for introverts in Bend.
Bendtroverts is for social introverts, sensitives, and slightly neurospicy folks in Bend who want real connection without bar culture, spiritual performance, or selfies.
We keep things small, gentle, and honest: tea tasting, quiet hangs, music listening nights, journaling/drawing sessions, slow walks, and (later) tiny meditative hot tub soaks. Nothing loud, boozy, or “perform your joy on command.”
You’re welcome here if you:
– are slow to open up, quiet at first
– get drained by big groups or noisy spaces
– prefer 1:1 or small circles
– still want people, just not the usual Bend scene
– are put off by “good vibes only” and performative competition
Who this is especially for:
– social introverts & ambiverts
– highly sensitive and neurodivergent folks
– LGBTQ+ and queer-friendly humans
– burnt-out ex-extroverts and quiet creatives
Vibe & container:
– small groups (usually 3–8 people)
– sober / substance-free for house events
– fragrance-free (including no scented laundry detergents or dryer sheet fragrances)
– no photos or videos
– not a dating or pickup group
– no monologuing or unsolicited “teaching”
– silence, awkwardness, and leaving early are all totally okay
Examples of Bendtroverts events:
– Soft Hang & Tea – tiny, low-key evening with tea and gentle conversation
– Tea Sharing Circle – bring a favorite tea & mug; taste and share if you feel like it
– Quiet Create Night – journals, sketchbooks, knitting, zines; we create quietly side by side
-- Board/card games that aren’t hyper-competitive
– Music Sharing Night – we play 1–2 favorite tracks each on a vintage system (vinyl or stream) and listen together
– Introvert Walks – easy, slow walks where talking is optional and silence is welcome
– Silent Soaks (recurring members-only) – small, silent meditative hot tub soaks for folks who’ve already been to a few events
*If you’ve ever thought, “I like people, I just can’t do the usual Bend thing,” this might be your little pocket of sanity.
