WordCamp Bengaluru 2026 is on Sunday 22 November at St. Joseph's Boys' High School on Museum Road. It's the city's biggest gathering of people building for the open web: developers, designers, founders, writers and the AI-curious, around 400 of them, with talks in two rooms from morning to evening.
You don't need to work in WordPress to get something out of it. If you've built a website and want to know where the open web is heading now that AI is part of the job, this is the room to be in.
A ticket costs ₹800, which is less than Sunday lunch in Indiranagar. This one comes with lunch too, plus 24 sessions to pick from, a hands-on workshop, swag to take home and more filter coffee than is strictly sensible.
The lineup
33 speakers, picked from 61 proposals to the open call: founders, engineers, product leads and agency owners building for the open web.
Meet them: https://bengaluru.wordcamp.org/2026/speakers/
The day
8:00 Registration and breakfast
9:00 Opening remarks
9:15 to 17:30 Two rooms of sessions: 7 talks, 14 lightning talks, 2 panels and a workshop
A few worth building your Sunday around:
- Connecting WordPress and MCP (workshop): connect a WordPress site to the Model Context Protocol, so AI assistants can work with it.
- Agents in Production (panel): two engineers and two founders compare notes on taking AI agents past the demo.
- What Clients Actually Pay For Now (panel): a business coach, a founder, an engineer and a product manager on what clients pay for today.
- How an AI agent works in WordPress: an agent taken apart on stage, then a six-screen WooCommerce refund done in one typed sentence, live.
- Building the Plane While Flying It: moving a site that publishes 120 to 140 posts a month from Webflow to WordPress, with no content freeze.

A fair bit of a WordCamp happens outside the rooms, over breakfast, coffee and lunch. Nobody minds if you skip a session for a good conversation.
Pick your ticket
General Admission, ₹800: every session in both rooms, lunch, filter coffee and snacks, and a badge, lanyard and swag.
Friend of #WCBLR, ₹2,500: the same day, at a price that helps pay for it and keeps the other tickets cheap. It comes with an invite to the exclusive networking dinner with the speakers, sponsors, organisers and media partners, and your name with the supporters on the attendees page.

Been to one before?
In January 2023, fourteen people said they'd come for coffee at a food court in Koramangala to talk about bringing WordCamp back to Bengaluru. 203 days later, about 330 people walked into the first one at CMR University. Since then it's been St Joseph's, in 2024 and 2025. Every year you've told us how it went, and this one is built from what you said:
- Easier to get around: clearer routes to talks, sponsors, food and restrooms, and people on hand to guide you.
- Room at the stalls: more space for proper conversations with sponsors.
- A new website, rebuilt from scratch by the team.
- New voices: 33 speakers, and not all in tech. A palliative medicine consultant is talking about AI.
- A bigger crew: 16 organisers, some contributing to WordPress since 2009, plus volunteers and 7 media partners.
