Monthly Meetup - October 2026: Stop Designing Screens. Start Designing Systems.
Details
Introduction
Join us for our monthly WordPress Bengaluru meetup, an afternoon of talks, discussion, and networking with the local WordPress community. October takes us to Koramangala, where Webomindapps is hosting. WordCamp Bengaluru is four weeks out, so the community updates will have plenty in them.
Speaker & Topic
This month, Raghunath J, Partner & CTO at 4Monks Consulting LLP, takes the stage with "Stop Designing Screens. Start Designing Systems."
Most sites start as a stack of screens. Then the same button turns up in four shades, a card drifts between the mockup and the theme, and nobody remembers who picked that spacing. The talk is about designing the system those screens come from instead. Raghunath will look at how design systems bridge the gap between design and development, and why that matters once a digital experience has to scale. Designers and developers both have a stake in this one, and so does anyone who has refereed between them.
Raghunath is Partner & CTO at 4Monks Consulting LLP, where he leads technology, architecture and engineering on complex digital platforms. He has spent years with WordPress, open-source tech, headless architectures and modern web stacks, mostly on making digital experiences that scale, perform well and stay maintainable. He likes the hard technology problems, and thinking about how open-source platforms evolve for the modern web. You can also catch him at WordCamp Bengaluru on 22 November.
