Trail Work: Help clear overgrowth around the Harmon Hill Lookout

Details
Every year the meadow vegetation likes to grow in along the Long Trail at the top of Harmon Hill, and narrows the short connector path from the Long Trail to the Harmon Hill Lookout. Our job will be to trim the brush away from the LT, and keep the connector path open for hikers who want to access the Lookout.
We'll take a short cut up to Harmon Hill via the Burgess Rd extension which is a gentler forest/meadow approach to our destination along old logging roads and ATV trails. The climb to Harmon Hill will take about an hour; we'll work around the Lookout for an hour or so, enjoy our lunch and the lovely views of Bennington from Harmon Hill, and then hike back down the shortcut.
Let's meet at the Bennington Recreation Center at 10AM to organize carpooling to the trail parking area.
The club can provide loppers and grass blades for anyone who needs them. Long pants, work gloves and sturdy hiking shoes/boots are recommended. Bring water, lunch and a snack.
