Details

This will be a relaxed pace walk, starting from downtown Bennington, through the Historic Cemetery and the Headwaters Park, over two pocket parks with views of surrounding mountains, to the Greenberg Conservation Reserve. Cars will be there to bring us back to where we started. We have walked this before in different seasons. The time after the leaves are gone and before snow falls has its own beauty.
Bring water, sturdy shoes, and layers of clothes, including a hat and gloves, as the weather is unpredictable. All ages are welcome as there is minimal elevation change and the total distance is less than 3 miles. Much of the path is wide for easy conversation. Dogs on a leash are welcome.
We will meet at the Bennington Recreation Center parking lot at noon on Saturday and walk from there.
