STARTING THURSDAY 31st AUGUST:

A new
RUEDA DE CASINO / CUBAN SALSA
extension class will be added after the Beginner Class at 8PM
aimed to take Beginners to the Improver level and higher.
- For this class, all students are expected to know their basics

A new
BACHATA CLASS
(Absolute beginner to Improver level) class
have been added at 8.30PM.
* No partner and no dance experience necessary
* Bachata is the second most popular Latin dance after Salsa

What is Rueda De Casino?

Rueda De Casino, also called just 'Rueda', in it's basic form means 'Casino wheel', where dance couples comes together to form a circle, with one main 'caller', who calls out the names of different Cuban Salsa figures made up of different sequences of fun dance moves, which are danced by the couples in synchronisation. As the level of the dancers improve, so does the figures performed become more elaborate and complicated, and with a constant change of partner calls, make the dance fun and exciting for the dancers, as well as spectators who view the dance.

LEARN HOW TO DANCE SALSA!
NEW INTRODUCTION TO SALSA BASICS SESSION @ 6.30PM

We have introduced a new 30 minute session to our Salsa Beginner program, aimed specifically to the new beginners, with a slower breakdown of the salsa basics, easy to follow instruction. We found that by doing it this way, new students get a much better dance experience and learn more quickly

* THIS SESSION PREPARES YOU FOR THE MAIN BEGINNER CLASS @ 7PM

NEW 2023 THURSDAY PROGRAM:

* CLASS #1: BEGINNER CUBAN SALSA
(1.5 hrs in total)
6.30pm – 7.00pm (1st Session)
Learn to Dance Cuban Salsa!
INTRODUCTION TO SALSA BASICS

* All new beginners and absolute beginner students MUST attend this 6.30pm Introduction to Salsa Basics class.

* We recommend all Beginner students, of all levels to do the Introduction to Basics as a warm up and practice.

* 7.00PM - 8.00PM
BEGINNER CUBAN SALSA (Main Beginner session)
- Cuban Salsa (Beginner to Improver Level)
- Everyone at this stage of joining in must know their basic steps
- ALL new absolute beginners MUST first do the 6.30pm class
before joining this main Beginner session

- More advanced Beginners or if you have had previous salsa classes & know the basics can come later at 7PM for this session. However, we recommend all students to attend the full lesson from 6.30pm onwards.
(TOTAL CLASS TIME: 1 Hour & 30 Minutes)

** CLASS #2:
RUEDA DE CASINO /CUBAN SALSA
(Extension lesson – Improver Level)
8.00pm – 8.30pm
(Rueda De Casino only)
Ideal for students who are confident
with Beginner level steps and turns.
This extension class will concentrate on Cuban salsa & Rueda De Casino
to Improver level, to raise the level of the Beginners.
- All students must know their basics for this extension class

#### *** CLASS #3: BACHATA

(Beginner to Improver Level)
8.30pm – 9.20pm
* Bachata is the second most popular Latin dance around
the world

CLASS COST:
Casual/Drop-in attendance:
$20 for Beginner class or Bachata class
$25 for Beginner class + Rueda/Cuban Salsa Extension class
* Current Special offer* – All classes for only $30

- We only accept CASH on the night

CLOTHING & SHOES:
Comfortable casual clothing.
Best shoes are low or flat smooth sole shoes
when starting, like leather sole shoes.
Avoid sandals & open toe shoes.
Avoid high heels when starting.
Avoid track shoes or runners as these grip the floor & can hinder your turns

MEDICAL:
Anyone with breathing problems, heart conditions, knee,
back or shoulder injuries and who are taking prescribed medication, please consult with your doctor first before joining any classes.

COVID PROTOCOLS:
* Masks are recommended whenever possible
* If you have flu like symptoms or feeling unwell, please do not
attend any classes
* If you are a first contact, as a precaution, please do not attend
any classes until after 7 days of negative tests
* If you are have just arrived back from Overseas or Interstate, as
a precaution, please do not attend any classes until after 7 days
* Sanitize hands frequently

PRIVATE LESSONS:
We provide private lessons on a one-to-one basis, with or without a dance partner and for private groups at a time that suits you.
