Custom Canoe Build Presentation by The Diamonds.
About The Diamonds:
John and Justine Diamond have been attending the Bergen Makerspace for many years. Justine is a member of staff focusing on enabling Special Services programs to incorporate makerspace activities into their curriculums. John has designed and built a 3D printer that can be carried in a suitcase and has taught an introductory class in Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD at the Makerspace. They have worked on many projects together including 3D printed assistive devices for children with missing fingers and lower arms. For over a year, they have been building a cedar strip canoe and will be bringing the finished canoe to the makerspace to give a presentation to explain how the project began and what it took to build it in their basement and garage.
Our current location is in the old PAL building on the other end of the Bergen County Academies campus at 284 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack NJ.
Drop in to say hello and reconnect, or bring a show and tell, or a project to work on, or just to see the space and hang out.
NB minors are welcome but must be accompanied at all times by a parent /guardian.
