Code smells are signs that your code works but is poorly structured. Not bugs, just hints that something could be written better. They make code harder to read, change, or maintain. The fix is usually code refactoring.

Code refactoring is the process of restructuring existing computer code without changing its external behavior. Learn how and why in this workshop.

This lesson is oriented around teaching you how to refactor and write clean code in Java. In order to get the most out of this workshop basic programming skills are required.

Preparation

Please bring your own laptop with IntelliJ Community Edition installed and a working Java development environment.

The workshop will be held at Thormøhlens Gate 55, pizza will be served at 17:00 in the common area. We will order food with the attendance list in mind. We highly appreciate it if you RVSP, so that we can order the correct amount of food :-)
