It takes two to tango (pair programming)
Details
Pair programming is a software development technique where two programmers work together at one workstation. One person (the driver) types at the keyboard, while the other (the observer or navigator) reviews the code, keeps track of tasks and makes suggestions. The two switch roles frequently.
Pair programming is very effective. While it may seem inefficient to have two people working on one problem, there's more to it than that. Pairs are often able to keep going despite running into technical or conceptual problems, because their skills complement each other. Pairs are also able to stay focused for longer, because one person may have a great idea while the other is lacking energy, and vice versa.
In this workshop, you'll learn different techniques for working effectively with pair programming, how to get along and have a good time, and how to make sure it's a safe and enjoyable experience for both.
