NIH SBIR/STTR Advanced Proposal Writing Workshop

Details
In 2015, NIH will invest through the SBIR/STTR program over 780 million dollars into early-stage health and life science companies. To facilitate the application process for these early stage companies, Berkeley BioLabs will offer a two day SBIR/STTR Advanced Proposal Writing Workshop on July 11th and 18th, 2015. This two-day workshop will allow participants to quickly learn how to prepare and submit a winning application specific to the NIH.
You must register to attend this workshop.

This workshop will be lead by Dr. Alberto Gandini, CEO and Co-founder of Accel Diagnostics. Dr. Gandini and his colleague Dr. Antaki, professor of biomedical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, collectively have over 15 years in grant writing and NIH SBIR/STTR application, and their most recent company, Accel Diagnostics, is the recipient of back-to-back SBIR grants.
Through this workshop, participants will learn how to create a successful application starting from registration with the Federal Agencies to building the right team to preparing budgets, and most importantly, how to write a winning application. Access to templates and examples from winning grants will be shared with the participants for a truly hands-on workshop.
A key criterion for a successful application is demonstrating a strong working environment accessible to the applying company. Berkeley BioLabs will support the applicants through providing facilities, equipment to execute the plan as well as access to their network of experts who can serve as advisors or participants on the project.
