Occupy the Farm: Movie and Potluck
Details
Transition Berkeley and the Gill Tract Community Farm invite you to attend a Movie & Potluck on Saturday, March 7th where we will be watching and discussing the film Occupy the Farm, directed by Berkeley filmmaker Todd Darling.
The film tells the story of a community’s fight to save public land for urban farming, profiling an ongoing social movement that started with the 2012 occupation of the Gill Tract in Albany, California.
Doors will open at 6:30pm, with the movie starting at 7:00pm. Donations are gladly accepted (suggested donation is $10), but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Bring a dish to share if you can or just your curiosity and interest in creating a more connected, resilient community. All are welcome!
