This month's Cloud Meetup will focus on storage in the cloud a hot topic at a time in which Berkeley is multi-cloud and oriented towards hybrid solutions that follow our "University First" cloud strategy. The discussion is open to everyone and especially geared towards UC Berkeley's Cloud Community of Practice. This open discussion on cloud storage at Berkeley moderated by Amy Neeser and Bill Allison will deep dive into UC Berkeley’s cloud storage options and their different use-cases with experts on-hand from IT to address current options, plans and example use-cases.

But first-- we will start the meetup by reviving our Startup Cloud Computing Lightning Talks. CITRIS Foundry Program Director, Kira Gardner will kick things off with an introduction to the Foundry as we feature our first CITRIS startup this month. Rick McGeer, founder of engageLively, a drag-n-drop web dashboard using Jupyterlab will speak about their really interesting strategy for data management and analytics through Jupyter Notebooks (10 min)

Everyone is welcome - this is a really inclusive group! You don't have to be an expert, or already know about cloud technologies; we get together so people can learn from each other.

CONNECT VIA ZOOM: Our Zoom connection info changes each month and is posted here in meetup invite. [Note: for security reasons attendees must be logged into a Zoom account]
