Sunday Walk: Wigginton via Dancers End Nature Reserve

This is a 6.5 mile walk beginning at the village café and shop which should take about 2.5 hours.
We leave the cafe & make our way via familiar paths on to Grim’s Ditch, after skirting around the village of Hastoe we take some new paths into Dancers End Nature reserve. After passing through Pavis Wood & Northill Wood we descend to pass Painsend Farm, a pheasant breeding farm, to Hang Hill. It’s then a woodland walk to Tring Park before making our way back up to Wigginton.
Once we return to Wigginton, there is the option to take refreshments in the village shop where there is seating next to the field.
The address for the car park is The Sports Ground, Wigginton HP23 6HH. If the car park is full, there is parking available along the road.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.
Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals.
