Dawn Chorus Bird Walk, Marston Forest Reserve

Details
Join me for an early morning walk to hear the dawn chorus at Marston Vale Forest Reserve near Bedford.
This is a gentle walk stopping at bird hides along the way, in the company of birding experts who know the reserve and its inhabitants. If we’re lucky we should see sand martins, swallows, peregrines and marsh harriers, and a variety of waders, warblers, and wildfowl. Nightingales and bitterns are also sometimes seen/heard.
The visitor centre has a decent cafe where we can get a cooked breakfast after.
Bring binoculars if you have them (otherwise they have enough to lend out), dress for the weather and make sure you wear sturdy footwear.
You will need to buy your ticket beforehand - do this soon though as they do get sold out: https://www.marstonvale.org/Pages/Events/Category/events-whats-on
Profits go to running the reserve.
I would also encourage a £1 donation to Martin’s meetup fund using paypal.me/MartinJ1986 (choose the friends and family option).
Meet outside the front of the Forest Centre at 7am. Please be prompt and allow time to pay for parking (£2 for 3 hrs).
Finishing approx 10am.
Drive time is around 40 mins from Hemel depending on traffic. Unfortunately I will be travelling onward after the event on this occasion, however I would encourage lift sharing if you are able to coordinate.
