This woodland walk is a fairly flat 6 mile walk through the woodlands of Berkhamsted Common and Aldbury Common and should take about 2.5 hours.
We begin at The Hill Farm café car park which is on the opposite side of the road to the farm café. Coming from Northchurch this is located just after a left-hand bend. It’s a bit tricky coming from the opposite end as you have to turn right just before the bend.
We walk around the woodland surrounding Northchurch Common on to the woods of Aldbury Common surrounding the visitor centre. We pick up the route towards Ashridge Park, along Prince’s Riding towards Ashridge House and then walk through the woods of Berkhamsted Common before crossing farmland and back into the woodland surrounding Northchurch Common.

Please be aware that the location listed is generated by Meetup and can be confusing for SatNav users. The address and post code I have for the café is Hill Farm café, Northchurch Common, Berkhamsted HP4 1LS but, if you take the B4506, the Hall Farm café is fairly well signposted.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals.
