Midweek Walk: Wheathampstead to Batford 6 miles

As Malcolm and I are in Snowdonia, Karen will lead the walk. Please give her bags of support and appreciation!

The walk takes us from the car park westward out of Wheathampstead. There's a very scenic stroll alongside the River Lea before reaching the outskirts of Batford. Turning northward, the route passes through Mackery End. The pathway heads towards Gustard Wood and the Mid-Herts Golf Club before crossing the river again and back to Wheathampstead.

Depending on the weather, we can find a suitable cafe or pub.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals.
