Sunday Walk: Wiggington Circular via Dancers End

This 9 mile walk will be led by Malcolm, beginning at the village café and shop it should take around 3.5/4 hours. The route starts out with a loop around Wiggington Bottom then across fields before entering Roundhill Wood. A track then takes us to a footpath over fields to Cholesbury Common & on to the fort. We make our way through Drayton Wood then Buckland Wood & on to Dancers End Nature Reserve where we will stop for snacks/lunch. A steep descent through Pavis Wood & several woodland paths takes us into Tring Park, it’s then a steady climb past the Obelisk & Folly into Bulls Wood & back to the car park.

Once we return there is the option for drinks at the Gate pub.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make Malcolm aware if you have any medical conditions.
Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals.
