Jesus Christ Superstar remains one of the most loved and well-known rock operas ever staged. This hit musical depicts one of the most famous endings to one of the most recognised stories of all time, overlayed with a mesmerising and emotional score, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, beautifully accompanied by Tim Rice’s skilful lyrics.
First performed in 1972 Jesus Christ Superstar has been revived many times and throughout its life has won and been nominated for multiple awards including a Tony Award for Best Musical.
Featuring a hugely talented cast, an electric rock band and an onstage choir, you can expect a thrilling experience.
Berkhamsted Theatre Company has been performing in and around Berkhamsted for nearly 100 years and has earned a reputation for presenting professional level productions. It has been nominated for and won numerous NODA awards including Best Musical in the London region for its productions of Evita and Dr Dolittle.
