Midweek Walk: Great Gaddesden Garden Centre to Jockey End

A 6 mile circular walk from The Hemel Hempstead Garden Centre in Pipers Hill which is just off the Leighton Buzzard Road, near Water End.
From the garden centre, we need to cross the busy B440 before heading uphill to Gaddesen Place. We pick up the Chiltern Way going past the Golden Parsonage and on to Gaddesden Row and Jockey End. Skirtin Ballingdon Bottom, we then pass through farmland and Hoo Wood before descending to cross the road again and back to the centre. Allow 2.5 hours.

Please use the overflow section of the car park, at the far end as you drive in.
After the walk, we can have some refreshments in the Garden Centre café. The post code for the Garden Centre is HP1 3BY.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals.
