Midweek Walk: Wendover, canal and woods

We meet in the car park in Wendover at 10.30. If you come in from Aston Clinton through Halton and into the High Street, the car park is on the left.
The walk is approximately 5.5. miles with one steep section and follows a lovely quiet section of the Wendover Grand Union Canal where there are abundant birdlife and wildfowl to enjoy. The walk passes through Halton where we can take a break to view some interesting Victorian buildings. Back to the canal and under a strikingly ornate bridge before heading into Wendover woods. The section in Wendover Woods follows a hilly but beautiful path before returning back to the starting point in Wendover where we can have a coffee or tea in one of the many welcoming cafes.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.
Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals.
