Midweek walk: Chipperfield to Flaunden

This is a 5.3 mile walk which takes us across fields to Tower Hill. Then we go through the woods of Lower Planation towards the outskirts of Flaunden where we pick up the Chiltern Way. We pick up a familiar route past Rose Hall Farm, Rosehall Wood and Hillmead's Farm before going through Chipperfield Common on the route back to Chipperfield. The walk should take not much more than 2 hours and once we return to Chipperfield, there is the option to take refreshments in the Blackwell Cafe where there is a spacious beer garden.

It's best to use Google Maps to find the location. The address for the cafe is 10 The Common, Chipperfield, Kings Langley WD4 9BS. If the church car park is full, there is parking available on the opposite side of the road or on the far side of the common.

Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack. Please be sure to make me aware if you have any medical conditions.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals.
