Xmas Day Short Walk, Sarratt via River Chess
Details
A Christmas day short walk with optional drinks in the Boot pub
afterwards (although last year it was very busy!). The walk will take under two hours so plenty of time to get home for lunch!
I’d be very grateful if members could make a £1 donation towards Meetup costs. For anyone who has gone 'cashless', please transfer payment to the KROO Bank Meetup account:

This walk will be led by Jeremy it’s a short 4 mile walk which begins in the picturesque village of Sarrat outside the Boot pub. We make our way across fields down to the River Chess & then follow the river until we crossover at Sawbridgeworth Bridge. Continuing on the other side of the river until we will reach the Ford, we then cross back next to the Watercress Farm before making our way back to Sarratt where we can enjoy a warm welcome in The Boot.
There is plenty of parking on the roads around the village green.
Please note that this walk is not led by a qualified leader and, as such, isn't covered by insurance. Be sure to wear suitable boots and clothing. The organiser cannot be held responsible for any injuries, however caused. Members are expected to take responsibility for their own preparation and safety including adequate fluids, weather protection and a snack.
Please be sure to make Malcolm aware if you have any medical conditions.
Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals.
If you are unable to attend please be sure to change your RSVP otherwise our departure will be delayed.
