Sunday Walk: Wendover the canal and woods

This 8.5 mile walk will be led by Malcolm.
We leave the car park & make our way to pick up the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union canal, this section is non-navigable & therefore has been reclaimed by nature. Leaving the canal we enter the woods & walk the lower path alongside Halton RAF camp, you get to see just how big the camp is. We then make our way up to the visitor centre where we can stop for a short break.
Heading for home we take a series of paths down through the woods back to Wendover where there are plenty of options for refreshments.

We meet in the Library car park HP22 6DU in Wendover at 10.00 If you come in from Aston Clinton through Halton and into the High Street, the car park is on the left.

Dogs are welcome as always but please be mindful to keep them on leads for roads and around other animals.
