James explains the play as follows:
Three Ghosts of Silvertown follows three East End ghosts as they return to relive the iconic 1889 Silvertown Strike and imagine how history might have unfolded differently. It's very much in the style of theatre I enjoy making—bringing the past vividly into conversation with the present.
As always with the Newham Plays, the production brings together experienced professional artists and talented young performers from Newham, creating a vibrant mix of professional theatre-making and emerging local talent, all in an incredible historic venue.
