Berks Gaming Society

Join us while it's not yet freezing out to hike the route from the Hamburg Reservoir up to Pulpit Rock and The Pinnacle. These overlooks offer some of the absolute best views in Berks County!

We’ll hike together to Pulpit Rock. From there, hikers can choose to:
✅ Continue on to The Pinnacle
✅ Relax at the overlook and return with the shorter-distance group

Plan on about 3.5–4 hours total if going to The Pinnacle.
Dogs are welcome if leashed and trail-friendly.
We’ll keep a friendly and flexible pace. New hikers and first-timers welcome!

Here are the trail details
Total Distance: ~7.5 miles round-trip to The Pinnacle

• Optional Short Route: ~3 miles round-trip if you’d rather stop at Pulpit Rock and head back
• Difficulty: Moderate (steady climb, some rocky sections)
• Elevation Gain: ~900 ft
• Terrain: Mostly rocky Appalachian Trail — good footwear recommended!

• Plenty of water (at least 1–2 liters)
• Snacks or packable lunch
• Good hiking shoes
• Weather-appropriate layers
