Hungerford Circular, 5 miles, leisurely

Today’s walk will take us along the Kennet & Avon Canal and Hungerford Common. Starting at Hungerford station, we’ll head towards the Kennet & Avon Canal where we’ll turn onto to follow it. Once at the road, we’ll turn right to cross over the railway and walk through Sling's Firs before heading towards Hungerford Common. Here, we’ll walk through it to take us to The Downgate Pub, where we’ll finish the walk and have a pint. From here, Hungerford station is only a 5-minute walk, or it's a 12 minute walk to the canal boat social.

TRAINS:

The recommended train to get from Reading is the 10:33 GWR train that arrives in Newbury at 10:54. This'll give enough time to change for the 11:01 GWR service that arrives in Hungerford at 11:12.

DRIVING:

Hungerford station has a small car park, where parking fees apply.

DOGS:

Dogs are allowed on this walk as long as they're kept under control.
