Gallivanting around Goring, 5.5 miles, leisurely

A scenic 5.5 mile circular walk from Goring and Streatley Station through peaceful woodlands and charming countryside.

Walk details

We’ll set off from Goring and Streatley Station, climbing gently up towards the leafy paths of Wroxhills Wood. The trail then winds between the quiet beauty of Old Evendon Wood and Park Wood, before leading us on to the delightfully named Blackbird’s Bottom. From there, we meander west through the tranquil heart of Great Chalk Wood, surrounded by towering trees and dappled light, before making our way back into the charming village of Goring.

Please travel on the 9.30 departure if travelling by train from Reading.

Parking is available at the station - charges apply.

Dogs

Dogs welcome on this walk, provided they are kept under control at all times and placed on a lead when requested by the walk leader.
