Annual General Meeting 2025

🎉 Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is on Saturday 15 November 2025 at RISC in Reading from 2.30 - 4.30pm. 🎉

🚶🏿‍♂️ There will be a short walk beforehand, which will finish at RISC in time for the meeting. 🚶🏼‍♀️

💬 All members are encouraged to attend the AGM, to hear about the work the committee has been doing over the last year, and to elect the new committee for the next year. 🗳️

☕ Tea, coffee and cake will be provided! 🧁

🍻 After the AGM we will head over to the Oakford Social Club for a celebratory drink. 🍻

If you are interested in volunteering on the new committee, please see the advice below.

Interested candidates should let our chair, Grant, know at the start of the AGM. People who are interested in joining the committee should have a look here at the roles on offer. If you wish to stand for a role you need to secure a member of the group to propose you and another member to second you. Your appointment will then be voted on by members present at the AGM.
If multiple candidates stand for the same role, then the candidates can choose to share the role or stand independently. If the candidates choose to stand independently they will be asked to give a short summary of what they intend to bring to the role, then the members at the AGM will vote for the candidate they wish to be elected. The candidate with the majority vote will be duly elected.
If you’re reading this and you are interested in volunteering to help organise and run the group for the year ahead, then it’s also always a good idea to talk to an existing committee member about their experience of serving on the committee. They can help you understand the different roles and what sort of time commitment is involved as each role varies.
